The car has now had a full Autoglym paint job. It's had a hot and cold wash, full rinse, been dried completely, had some bug and tar treatment, polished, waxed and clay-bared. I think the finished result looks pretty nice.

I have now had the rear windows tinted. I went for limo black on the rear door glass and the next lightest for the rear glass. This makes it easier to see out at night when maneovering in reverse. Despite the tints being slightly different shades, from outside they all look limo black.

I had them done at Tint-A-Mania in Huddersfield. They have achieved a very high quality job and the price was also competitive. I would highly recomend them.

To add a bit of sleek road presence I have added some black tinted wind deflectors. I think these give the car a more sporty look but also are great when driving with the windows open. These are a great little modification and are extremely simple to install. They cost around £40 on eBay and take minutes to install. They'll look even better when the windows are tinted.

When the car was purchased, the front off side wing had already been introduced to a chevron sign, quite intimately. The result was some quite severe battle scars. Rather than pay a bodyshop hundreds of pounds to rebuild the car's glory with filler and lots of paint, I decided to buy a new wing on eBay. This cost £20 and took around an hour to fit. There was a slight colour difference at the time of install but now they have had several polishes and waxs together, the colours are starting to blend better.

I almost bought some black wheels for the car but decided that the standard wheels gave the car a really nice sporty but standard look and feel. As for black, everyone seems to be putting black wheels on their car. For this reason I decided to have the standard wheels refurbished and sprayed white. I think white goes really well with the yellow and it's still quite unique. I paid £30 per wheel for the refurb and spray and then a further £15 per wheel for the tires refitting (which are Avon sports tires by the way).

This was one of those tasks where you look at the Haynes Manual and think, "how hard can it be". The answer is, not very. I have a qualified mechanic with me when I did mine, which I strongly recomend as there are so many pipes, sensors and wires to disconnect, it never hurts to have a professional to hand.
The actual manifold exchange wasn't too difficult though. The whole job took around 2 hours (this incorporates 2 cups of tea). The end result is a smooth running 2.5 V6 engine with no taps or rattles. Well worth the scuffed knuckles.

The exhaust that was on the car was quite a nice one but the tail pipe was corroded and in quite bad shape. This took around 3 hours of scrubbing with rubbing compound and various polishes to get it back to that beautiful stainless shine. The end result was quite a satisfying one.
The mid section has also been replaced due to a broken bracket and corrosion near the front section joint. The sound of these cars should not be underestimated.

I changed the rear calipers (£72 per pare)
New Mintex discs and pads all round (£145)
New brake pipes (£40)
As a result of the car failing its MOT in December, the car had all new brake pipes installed. I had a professional do this for me as it is quite important to get the brake repairs done properly. ;-)
Altogether I paid £20 labour and £10 parts.

Nobody really wants a tow bar on a yellow sports car do they. The tow bar is currently for sale. £45 Ono.

I decided to put the extreme spoiler on as I think this improves the line and flow of the car.
eBay £90.
